Math Blogs

Mr. Math Blog is a blog that caught my attention because he talks about math and he covers every grade. I am not sure what grade I will be teaching so I wanted to pick a blog that would help me with resources no matter what grade I taught. This blog gives lessons for each topic in every grade. For instance, in seventh grade there is a lesson on how to multiply integers. If you click on the lesson, it takes you to a YouTube video and Mr. Math teaches how to multiply integers in two different ways with lots of examples. I would subscribe to this blog because I think it could give me many resources on how to teach my own students.

Yummy Math caught my eye because there are so many different activities available for me as a teacher. I really like that the math activities are linked to math standards. I also like that the blog doesn't just give the activities, it also gives questions that you can ask your students. There are also pdfs that are free to print out. Brian Marks and Leslie Lewis are the authors of this blog. They said that they created this blog to help teachers bring real-life activities to their students.

Math equals love  stood out to me because the teacher gives interactive teaching ideas for all of the math subjects that I will be potentially teaching. For example, under Algebra 2 the teacher gives about 15 activity ideas and tons of interactive notebook pages. This teacher gives so many pictures on how the students should be doing their work. I am so impressed that someone would take that much time to help people like me. I will for sure be using this blog when I start teaching. The author of this blog is Sarah Carter and she started this blog because she wants all students to love math.
